Tony D’Oria (Chair)
Tony D’Oria has been a professional educator for 22 years and has worked for the Thames Valley District School Board, the York Region District School Board and is currently employed by the London District Catholic School Board. Tony was a secondary school teacher for 10 years before becoming an administrator. He was a vice-principal in secondary for four years and an elementary vice-principal for two years before becoming an elementary principal for the last six years.
Marty Denomme
Marty works in the Financial Industry focusing on giving young families and young professionals the knowledge and education in financial services. This entails cash flow, budgeting, investment education, and building plans for today, tomorrow, and the future. Marty’s background in Youth Correction and Child and Youth work illustrates his commitment to the youth Investing in Children serves.
Jacqueline Fortner
Jacqueline Fortner is an associate lawyer at Lerners LLP practicing in Health Law, Plaintiff Personal Injury, and Insurance Defence. In her spare time, Jacqueline is actively involved in the community. Jacqueline serves as the Vice-Chair of the South-West Young Lawyers Division of the Ontario Bar Association. She is heavily involved in the London chapter of Kids Kicking Cancer, using martial arts to empower children beyond the pain and discomfort of childhood disease.
Danielle Gauvreau
Danielle Gauvreau practices civil litigation at Lerners LLP. With an undergraduate degree in family and social relations, Danielle developed an understanding of the enormous impact early interventions can have with children. With that in mind, Investing in Children is a great fit. When not working or getting involved with her community, Danielle enjoys cooking, yoga, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
Eric Sorrentino
Eric Sorrentino is proud to be back as a member of our Board of Directors. He currently works for BMO and also teaches part-time at Fanshawe College's Lawrence Kinlin School of Business. Eric believes in giving back to the community he loves, while also having a passion for helping children and children's programs. He has deep roots in London, where he resides with his wife, and two teenagers.
Christine Giannacopolis
Christine Giannacopolis is currently working as an Acting Superintendent of Innovations with the Thames Valley District School Board. She has worked in a variety of schools and has been a great advocate for in-risk students. Her passion for student success has been the driving force behind her commitment and desire to work with organizations such as Investing In Children.
Todd Wilcox
Todd Wilcox is a husband and father of two wonderful children - Josh and Courtney. He has been a passionate educator for 20 years. He has taught Gr. 3-8 in four different schools and has served as an administrator at three schools in the London District Catholic School Board. Currently, he is enjoying providing service to the St. Thomas More community and has recently joined the Investing in Children team. He is looking forward to helping bridge the needs of students with the opportunities that the Investing group is able to provide.
Melissa Maloney
Melissa Maloney spent the first 20 years of her career as a Sales and Service executive in the Health and Wellness field. She is the founder of Happy Leader Enterprises and the co-founder of All Women L.E.A.D. as well as the Director of Operations for Selectpath Benefits and Financial. Melissa developed a passion for helping others find happiness at a young age, and now focuses this same intention to the workplaces and clients she serves. With a focus on productivity, leading with emotional intelligence and creating a culture where “Everybody Wins” she is passionate about building and supporting organizations to have a people-first culture while creating world-class customer experiences and incredible financial success! As a sought-after speaker and best-selling author; she was named one of the Top 20 under 40 in 2018 by London Inc magazine and named as a Top 50 Visionary for 2019 by Radical Business Magazine.
Andrew Horton
Andrew Horton helps leaders change their organizations and the world through better decisions. As the founder of an exciting new branch of Behavioral Economics—Causal Economics—and an award-winning technology marketing executive with more than 20 years direct experience making big impact decisions—his perspective is unmatched. His work is published in leading peer-reviewed academic journals and he is regularly called upon to make submissions and review those of other scholars. Andrew’s expertise is constantly in demand from top brands and includes work for a vast array of top brands such as Ceridian, Morneau Shepell, Fairfax Financial, Teknicor/Dell EMC, TD Waterhouse and CIBC to name a few. He holds an advanced economics degree from Western University and an MBA from The Ivey School of Business. Andrew is head of marketing at leading tech company Teknicor and a board member of Investing in Children.
